Ebrisham Polki Diamond and Gold Necklace
Our Ebrisham Polki Diamond and Gold Necklace is handcrafted in 22k solid yellow gold, adorned with uncut Polki diamonds and completed with a handwoven silk cord in the traditional Thussi style. The name Ebrisham — meaning ‘silk’ in Persian — reflects the soft elegance of the cord that ties the piece together, both literally and symbolically.
A time-honoured form rooted in Maharashtrian bridal adornment, the Thussi necklace sits close to the neck in a choker-style design. Traditionally worn by brides and women during festivals and celebrations, this necklace pairs striking craftsmanship with cultural resonance.
Polki diamonds, uncut and naturally luminous, are central to this piece. Unlike faceted diamonds, Polki diamonds are left in their raw form, offering a soft, organic glow that has been prized for centuries, particularly within Mughal jewellery traditions. Each diamond is selected for its unique clarity and character, echoing the artistry of India's historic gemstone heritage.
Set near the heart, the necklace honours the longstanding belief that jewellery worn around the neck channels emotional energy, serving as both adornment and amulet. As with all our pieces, our Ebrisham necklace is designed with comfort in mind and crafted by hand by our skilled artisans.
Due to variations in lighting and screen display, the sizes and colours shown in images may differ slightly from the actual items.
