Meet our friends: Grace Kee loves tourmalines and serpent-inspired jewellery
One of our favourite people, Grace Kee, is a woman who can do just about everything. She is the founder of the private dining experience Good Graces, as well as a mother, an entrepreneur and a skilled wakesurfer.
Grace also describes herself as “Nonya Girl, Foodie, Home Cook, Reptile, Geek and Dancing Queen”. The snake reference explains her handle of her popular Instagram account @albinopython15.

The snake theme continues in Grace’s jewellery collection as well when asked about her favourite jewellery pieces: “I love whimsical animal pieces. One of my favourites is a bee ring made with vivid yellow diamonds. Another is a snake ring that I got a friend to design using random small sapphires, rubies and diamonds from various bracelets gifted to me over the years.”
And the snakes continue to appear when Grace is asked about her dream jewellery piece: “The Bulgari Serpenti necklace in rose gold, diamonds and emeralds.”
Grace started her fine jewellery collection with a lovely silvery grey pearl necklace she saved up to buy for herself. “I love, love pearls. It’s delicate but kinda rock and roll at the same time.”

Tourmalines are another precious gem Grace loves, while rose gold is her favourite precious metal.
“Rose gold is my favourite because it suits my skin colour. Yellow gold seems too flashy and white gold / titanium / silver is boring,” explains Grace.
“Tourmalines have so many dazzling colours and the Paraiba neon green is so pretty. I like to wear spiritual stones with meaning and tourmalines are known to be a stone for reconciliation, grounding, healing and compassion.”
Spirituality comes into play again when Grace is asked about her most sentimental piece of jewellery: “My grandmother’s pearl and diamond ring. It’s a very vintage design, very Shanghainese. I borrowed it from my mum after grandma passed away and it’s still on ‘loan’ with me currently.”
